Window Cleaning

Enjoy crystal clear results inside-and-out with the power of pure water and Octopus magic! I regularly clean external windows but also offer an internal window cleaning service, simply using pure water and clean cloths. This can be done regularly or once or twice annually.

Conservatory Roof Cleaning

Get the best results on your conservatory roof with a deep clean. I thoroughly clean everything including finials and guttering using a pure water system. I offer this service on a regular basis or it can be done once or twice annually.

Fascia, Soffit & Gutter Cleaning

I clean Gutters Fascias and Soffits using telescopic poles fed with pure water for the ultimate results with a deep clean.

Fascia is the board that usually caps off the roof or roof Trusses or the ends of Rafters and can vary in size and materials.

Gutters are the water collection system to protect the building (can also be used to collect rainwater) and are usually fitted to Fascia boards, but this is not always the case. I clean the outside of these. Soffit is the board that runs underneath the fascia perpendicular to the building and the Fascia board.

I can clean these individually or all together for a whopping discount, all priced per metre. I offer this service on a regular basis or once or twice annually. I highly recommended this service to keep your whole house looking clean. Think of the Fascias, Soffit and Gutters as the collars of your house.

Weatherboarding

I clean weatherboarding using telescopic poles fed with pure water, except for certain types of wood cladding. Priced per square metre, I offer very competitive rates!

Gutter Emptying

Keep your gutters empty and working efficiently, which in turn helps keep your windows and conservatory clean. Additionally, if you collect rainwater, then keeping your gutters clear will help the water stay clean and flowing well.

When gutters get blocked they can leak and break, so keeping them clear ultimately saves you money in the long run. How often you need them cleared depends on your area (trees, shelter from weather etc). I use a high powered hoover/vacuum powerful enough to remove stubborn thick grass and vegetation and capable of reaching gutters at heights of up to 40ft off the ground.

I offer this service as and when you require and I can provide ‘before and after’ videos for you to see the work being done.

Softwashing

Softwashing is essentially chemical treatments, where pressure washing is too harsh for sensitive materials, or not good enough to kill off certain growths. For example, using a Biocide, Fungicide or Sodium Hypochlorite. Tiled roofs, Driveways, Patios Walls and capping stones, Stone/brick sills, Flat roofs, Tennis courts and more.

Pressure Washing

Pressure washing, also known as power washing/jet washing, is an effective way to clean a lot of surfaces and get instant results. Tiled roofs Driveways Patios Walls and capping stones Stone/brick sills Flat roofs Tennis courts and more.

For block paved driveways, I can offer the re-sanding that is required after pressure washing. I can offer driveway sealing. I can also fully restore Tarmac using a professional tarmac paint.

Solar Panel Cleaning

I clean solar panels using a special brush (‘flagged’ bristles) to ensure no damage to Photovoltaic-surface panels. Regular window cleaning brushes are too harsh, including the ones designed for leaded windows with ‘flocked’ bristles.

I advise keeping your solar panels cleaned regularly (once a year) to stop the build up of Lichen which can become virtually impossible to scrub off, if left for too long. Keeping your solar panels free from lichen, mold, algae and dust will also keep them working optimally.

Conservatory roof cleaning

Veluxes & Dormers

I can reach heights of up to 55ft (roughly 5 stories tall) from the ground, so most ‘hard to reach’ Veluxes are well within our range. If your building is 4 stories, I should be able to reach most of the roof, depending on the pitch and garden space.

Pricing

I recommend starting on 8 weekly. From there, we can make it more or less frequent, depending on your requirements.

I offer 4, 6, 8 & 12 weekly rounds.

Please note this is a price guide; for a firm quotation, I will need to see exactly what I’m cleaning, so please contact me to arrange an obligation-free quote.

My price guide assumes you have a reasonably standard house design and windows.

If your house is very large, or of an unusual design, please email pictures of the front and rear to info@octopuswindowcleaning.co
or phone me on 07749110722
Internal window cleaning costs 2-3 times the amount of your 8 weekly clean.
For example, if you pay £20 for a regular 8 weekly clean, your internal window cleaning will cost £40-£60.
Prices for all services are done on an individual basis.
I will always provide a quote in-person because there are usually several factors that affect the price, that can only be assessed on site.

My Guarantee

Satisfaction Guarantee

I guarantee the workmanship and quality of  my work. If you ever have a complaint I will come back and ensure that it is put right to your satisfaction.

Please contact me within 48 hours of our clean for this ‘satisfaction guarantee’ to be valid.

Rain Guarantee

It's a common misconception that windows can't be cleaned in the rain. However, this is not true! The only disadvantage is that the window cleaner gets wet! So I still clean in the rain, within reason, because it minimises disruption to the rounds. For this I offer a ‘rain guarantee’ which means for any windows badly affected by the rain, once it has stopped, I will come back and put it right.

Please contact me within 48 hours of our clean for this guarantee to be valid.

How I Work

I use purified water (that I process myself) pumped up telescopic poles; from the ground, up to heights of 55ft. This makes it safer because I don't have to use ladders, there's more privacy for the customers and less risk of damage or accidents.

I use the best equipment and have special brushes to suit different jobs. For example I  have ‘flocked’ bristles which are designed for leaded windows (including old lead) and painted windows. This protects your lead and paint by ensuring it is not lifted up and ‘stabbed’ by sharp bristle tips. I also have a soft solar brush with ‘flagged’ bristles, designed specifically to ensure no damage to Photovoltaic panel surfaces (solar panels).

The South of England has hard water, meaning it has a lot of minerals and chemicals dissolved into it (mainly chalk, limestone and magnesium) and this is what leaves hard water stains. We all know it more commonly as limescale (think glass- shower door or washing machine pipes etc). So I have to de-ionise and de-mineralise the water to get it absolutely pure. I do this through a 4 stage filtration system to ensure the hard water is completely purified.

pure water window cleaning service sussex
Pure water is a superior product to clean windows for several reasons:
The octopus/ the window cleaner is a lot safer cleaning from the ground, by not having to use a ladder and squeegee the water off after cleaning.
Pure water wants to become impure due to the ‘Law of Electro Neutrality’ (find out more online if you're interested) which makes it absorb/latch onto dirt extremely well and therefore aids the cleaning process.
Thanks to the aggressive nature of pure water, there's no need for detergents to clean the windows, which is far greater for the environment.
The jets of water double up as mini pressure washers, allowing me to blast out dirt from sills and above the windows, especially around vents. I agitate the dirt with the my brush and then rinse it all away. This leaves all areas sparkling, not just the glass.
The rinse process washes away the dirt, leaving all surfaces completely clean. New dirt struggles to cling on afterwards and it prolongs the build up of dirt. So when compared to traditional methods, you can save money in the long run.
Purified water evaporates faster than tap water. The water I leave on the windows dries rapidly, leaving beautifully-sparkling, crystal clear windows.
